My idea of a workout.

Recently, I was out treasure-hunting at a thrift shop (whose location shall remain anonymous) and a very "mature" gentleman, dressed in a rather dapper outfit, walked in a few minutes after me.
He began chatting with the sales people and seemed to know them. As I was perusing some vintage clothing, I couldn't help overhearing a conversation he was having with two of the female employees as they collectively peered out of the shop window, looking down into the parking lot at what I realized must be his car. It was a chilly day, and they were discussing the fact that it was a convertible...and asking when he'd be putting it in the garage for the off-season and driving something more "Maine winter friendly."
The saleswoman he was chatting with was older than me (I think! It's hard to tell these days!), but probably about 10-15 years younger than him. It was a low-slung sports car (although not a pretentious sports car) and she exclaimed, "OH! I can feel my back aching already just thinking of climbing in and out of that car!" To which he deftly replied, "I like to think of it as exercise."
And THAT, ladies and gentlemen, is the difference between an optimist. And a pessimist.
I'm betting that guy is still having sex, too.
I can honestly say that I love that man. :)
(Remember, in the words of the late Dr. Wayne Dyer, "Attitude is everything. So choose a good one!")
Have a great Monday evening. And focus on the positive, joyful things in your life. It's not always easy, but I've found it to be a lifesaver.
